The Alpha Winds is an advanced band made up of homeschooled musicians who love to perform and play many different styles such as classical, jazz, gospel, sacred and just about anything they can get their hands on. It is an “audition only” ensemble made up of winds, percussion and rhythm. On a yearly basis the Alpha Winds will perform about 20 times during the year at community events, malls, senior homes, special occasions, festivals and graduation ceremonies.
Audition Requirements
To be in the Alpha Winds includes knowing all major and minor scales, have had a few years playing in another band or orchestra program and can commit to the weekly rehearsal and performance schedule.
